Pat and I concentrate on repairing the violin family of instruments students use in music classes. Some of the time these are referred to as "student" instruments, which they are, but they are much, much more. They are tools which will advance the learning process, as has been proven time and again.
As these violins, violas, cellos, and basses are made of very thin wood, they require maintenance just as your vehicle does. Bridges go wrong, bend, or break. The little stick on the inside (the soundpost) falls down, strings break, necks come loose or crack, cracks appear on the body, and the hair in the bow needs replacement and the bow itself might need replacement. What we offer is the very best restoration at a realistically reasonable cost and at a more than reasonable delivery schedule, sometimes right at the time, sometimes a bit later. We enjoy showing the player how and why things go awry and how the player can help their instruments stay healthy. We love our clients and consider them most important as any of them will attest.
For the first time for us, we have found really first class instruments at really fair prices and will offer to bring them in for you. Thank you and we hope to be helpful.
We also carry Glasser Bows. They are a very good starting bow.
